It’s strange how easy it is to get used to places. There’s no other place like home. It’s the place where we feel safe, where we love and we’re being loved, the place where we share some of the happiest moments of our lives. And when we travel and we’re away for long, it’s such a great feeling when we return back.
For the past four years, my husband and I lived in that great place, which we managed to turn to our loving place, even though we left our home country. It was our first home together as a couple, the place where we got married and spent the first three years of our marriage, where we had numerous parties and great memories, the place where I learned how make the best blueberry cheesecake and a delicious vegan burger, it’s the place which will always stays in our hearts.
And when it’s time to actually move out and give the keys back, it’s kind of sad and happy at the same time. It’s funny how the last I think about are the things I didn’t like about it, like the really old drafty windows, the leak we had once after a heavy rain, or the really low ceilings, I think only about the happy moments we had because after all that’s what really matters.
Now it’s time to move on and open a new chapter in our lives. And I’m sure we will make a great home wherever we go cause home is where we are together ♥
If only the walls could speak …
