It’s that time of the year again, when soon we will all be sitting around the Christmas table along with our family and friends. It’s that time, when the year is wrapped up once again and look back to all of the things that have happened to us, all the things we have achieved, all the mistakes we’ve made, the moments that have made us happy and the ones that have brought tears to our eyes.
When I look back now I realise I’ve had it all the past year – I’ve been happy and sad, even lonely at times and I’ve had my fears. I have also been disappointed, been impatient and a little insecure, been out of control and at times hard to bare with. But I hope that my dear family and friends will forgive me and continue to bare with me as I look upon myself and work on myself on the next coming years. Because we are not all perfect, no one is. But it’s important to know yourself, your strengths and weaknesses and invest time on improving yourself.
And even though holidays go so fast, they’re so memorable and, as usual, it’s the food that brings memories of a lifetime. It might not be the food itself but the way we have connected with people over the food and, somehow make us feel the comfort and the blessing of the family that it really is.
I have already started preparing some Christmas recipes and I already know that for sure I will be making these orange and cacao biscuits once more just on time for Christmas.
I have used some of my favourite ingredients from Indigo Herbs to make this recipe. I like to use products from brands that I know and trust and have no doubts about the their quality. I’ve used Indigo Herbs’ Coconut Sugar, Carob powder, Cacao Butter and Cacao Nibs. The biscuits turned out so delicious and the orange and cacao flavours really set the festive mood on.
